My callBuy if it fits
Where I’d buy it
DJI’s own US store has often shown drones out of stock, so DJIUSA, the authorised reseller where I read the price, comes first.

Price details
- Source
- DJIUSA,
- History
- When I wrote this on Oct 5, B&H listed $1,099 and Micro Center $989.99 (in-store pickup only). Neither page could be re-read on Oct 7, so treat those two as unverified.
This price is from Oct 7, 2026 and may have changed. Check the retailer before you buy.
Why I’d buy, why I’d skip
Why I’d buy
- An authorised, pre-cut-off model fits what you fly.
- The seller confirms the US warranty position in writing.
- You can check the FCC ID on the listing or box; DJI’s start with SS3.
Why I’d skip
- You want a new 2026 DJI model. None can get FCC authorisation.
- You need US-made or NDAA-compliant equipment for government or public-safety work.
- You need dependable accidental-damage cover. One owner review said DJI Care Refresh is unavailable in the US; I could not re-read it.
The three specs that matter
- Weight
- 249.9 g Source: DJI spec page
- Camera
- 1-inch 50MP sensor; 4K video at up to 120fps Source: DJI spec page
- Flight time
- 36 minutes rated; 52 with the Plus battery Source: DJI spec page
The rest of what I noted
- Range
- 20 km rated (FCC) Source: DJI spec page
- Obstacle sensing
- Omnidirectional vision plus forward LiDAR Source: DJI spec page
- FCC status
- Authorised before the Dec 22, 2025 Covered List update Source: GoMyReview; the FCC's FAQ could not be re-read
What holds up
- It was authorised before the FCC’s December 22, 2025 cut-off, so it can still be sold and flown in the US. That summary comes from GoMyReview; the FCC’s own FAQ blocked my reader.
- A 249.9g drone with a 50MP camera and 4K at 120fps, by DJI’s own spec page.
- No new DJI models are coming to the US, so the case for buying sooner is simple: stock only shrinks.
What to weigh
- An owner review on B&H’s listing (September 23, 2026) said DJI Care Refresh is no longer available in the US. That was one owner, not DJI, and I could not re-read the page, so treat cover as uncertain.
- Third-party sellers may not be DJI-authorised. GoMyReview advises getting the warranty answer in writing.
- GoMyReview reports that from October 13, 2026 the FCC will reject new applications for any drone containing DJI or Autel boards. That does not touch drones already authorised.
- Rated flight time is measured in ideal conditions. Real flights are shorter.
