History
Bob Vila's Oct 2 roundup had it at $879; by Oct 7 that page and EcoFlow's both showed $799. EcoFlow's page carried an "ends in days" countdown with no date.

Why I’d buy, why I’d skip

Why I’d buy

  • You need fridge-capable capacity for outages longer than a day.
  • Your running watts fit under 2,400W continuous.

Why I’d skip

  • A short outage is the job. A roughly 1kWh station costs about half as much.
  • Weight is a hard limit. It weighs 20.3 kg, about 45 lb, by EcoFlow’s figure.
  • You want an expansion path. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 takes an extra battery.

What holds up

  • $799 against a $1,199 list on the maker’s own store, not a reseller’s “was” tag.
  • The 2kWh class is the right size when a fridge has to survive a long outage.
  • On Bob Vila’s Oct 7 list it sits within a dollar of the BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 ($798.99) and $50 under the Jackery Explorer 2000 ($849).

What to weigh

  • EcoFlow’s countdown has no end date. Sale prices on maker stores move without notice.
  • Best Buy lists it too, but did not show me a price on Oct 7.
  • Compare expandability and weight across the 2kWh boxes before you choose. The Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 takes an expansion battery; this one does not list one.
